The airline already offers a handful of in-flight entertainment options including anywhere between 36 and 100 channels of free DirecTV, depending on the specific aircraft; over 100 channels of free SiriusXM; free movies; and Amazon Video streaming. 。

From the boarding gate to arrival gate, Fly-Fi lets JetBlue customers connect wirelessly to the internet the entire journey. 。

Fly-Fi is also an uninterrupted Wi-Fi service, meaning customers don't need to wait until they're up in the air before they can get online. From the boarding gate to arrival gate, Fly-Fi lets JetBlue customers connect wirelessly to the internet the entire journey.。

Fly-Fi's internet speeds are pretty speedy, too, compared to competing paid in-flight Wi-Fi services, with an average connection speed of up to 15 Mbps (some users have experienced faster speeds at up to 30 Mbps). 。

In comparison, Gogo, the world's largest in-flight internet provider currently tops out at about 10 Mbps, though the company plans to increase Wi-Fi speeds to up to 100 Mbps by 2018 with a network equipment overhaul. 。

"It’s 2017 and our customers expect to be connected everywhere, whether that be from the comfort of their sofa or 35,000 feet above it," Jet Blue's vice president of marketing Jamie Perry said in a press release. "That’s why we’re so proud that JetBlue is now the only airline to offer free, high-speed Wi-Fi, live TV and movies for all customers on every plane."。
