Verizon will stop replacing Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices for its customers in the U.S., it announced late on Sunday.。

The company joins two other phone providers in the country, T-Mobile and AT&T, all of whom announced the disappointing news to Note7 fans on the same day. 。

The announcements come as new reports of exploding or over-heating Note7 devices continue to surface, despite Samsung endeavouring to replace earlier, faulty devices with new units.

Just last week, a Southwest Airlines flight had to be evacuated after a Samsung phone started smoking in the cabin. Other aviation authorities globally have also issued warnings about the Note7 onboard, fearing a fire hazard.。
