A Calgary airline has added a furry new member to its team.
In response to the Northern Alberta wildfires that ripped through Fort McMurray and displaced at least 80,000, Canadian North Air opened up its coach sections to accommodate passengers fleeing the region with their pets.

The airline took its compassionate response a step further when staff members volunteered to cat-sit Meow Meow, the pet of a Krystal Scott, pregnant passenger who was ready to go into labor .
According to Canadian North's frequent Facebook and Twitter updates, the cat soon became a valued member of the team. Staff members even gave Meow Meow a desk so that she would have a suitable spot to conduct her important kitty business.

In fact, Meow Meow proved herself to be such a diligent worker that airline crew saw it fit to give her an official name tag. An adorable, feline-friendly name tag.
"They figured that if she's going to be part of our team she might as well have proper identification," the Edmonton Flight Ops team wrote on Facebook.

In an update posted to the airline's Facebook, Scott thanked them for looking after Meow Meow and said the family was settled in Calgary and waiting for the baby to arrive.
Canadian North's Facebook page has since been flooded with supportive comments from people around the world.
