Sometimes the best way to complain is with a bunch of cats.
That's what disgruntled customer Laura Carrie has been doing while communicating with the telecommunications company, Telstra. Carrie has been taking a softer, fluffier approach to the annoying problem of having no Internet connection for more than two weeks.
SEE ALSO:This wacky German advert features cats pushing trolleys around a supermarketInstead of abusing the company on Facebook like many customers do, Carrie posted a photo of her cat "Kittie Smalls" on Telstra's wall on May 30 along with an explanation of her problem. She claimed it had been five days since had been told her Internet would be connected and followed five "futile" calls to the company.
"I'd like to see the positive side and thank you for giving me a night off from working on my small business," Carrie wrote.
"Now I can't watch Netflix (no interwebs remember) so I have to make my own fun. So I thought I'd reconnect with my cat, Kittie Smalls. Seeing as this night wouldn't have been possible without YOU I thought I'd share some moments with you. This is us playing poker. She's a natural."
The offering of a cat picture didn't seem to do much for getting her back online, so Carrie returned again on Sunday, 11 days after her Internet connection was meant to be working. This time she used a picture of Kittie Smalls doing yoga.
"We're extra grateful today as we've started doing yoga. So, as well as rekindling our friendship, we're also getting mad limber. This is a pretty good first effort of 'Spinal Twist'," she wrote.
Another post on Monday shared an exciting moment, with the duo being told their Internet was due to be connected within 24 hours. This meant a party to celebrate was the order of the day.
"Look how 'excited' she is. Telstra Thanks!" Carrie wrote.
However, their celebrations were premature. On Tuesday, there was still no Internet connection. Dreams of Netflix binge sessions were dashed, as one can see in the disappointed expression of Kittie Smalls.
Then Thursday rolled around, 15 days after they were meant to be connected. It was time to mix things up with the introduction of a new cat called The Flee.
"I didn't want to have to include her in Telstragate. She's not like Smalls. She's shy, scared of loud noises, she just doesn't like being in the limelight. But, you forced my hand Telstra, you forced my hand," Carrie wrote.
"Disappointed cat, is, disappointed in you."
A Telstra spokesperson told Mashable Australiavia email on Friday that Carrie's Internet has now been connected. "Ms Carrie's broadband service is now connected and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. The delay was due to a processing error at our end," he said.
"We provided Ms Carrie with a pre-paid mobile device so she had access to a broadband service in the interim. We appreciate her and Kittie Smalls’ patience with us as we worked to resolve this issue."
Carrie confirmed to Mashable Australia on Monday that her Internet connection is now working. Now she can get Netflix purring again.
UPDATE: June 14, 2016, 4:35 p.m. AESTLaura Carrie confirmed her Internet connection was back up and running again.
