It's not everyday that a Hollywood sign pops up in your town overnight.
But in the Welsh town of Wrexham, absolutely no one is confused about who might be behind the new landmark.
Large white letters akin to the famous Los Angeles version appeared on the Bersham Bank, a colliery tip, in the North Welsh town on Monday.

Many people believe the sign is the work of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who are the new owners of football team Wrexham AFC and have been executive producing an upcoming FX docuseries about it, Welcome to Wrexham.
"I reckon Ryan Reynolds," one local told the BBC. "No one else could afford to do something like that."
On Twitter, Reynolds appeared to claim he wasn't the mastermind of the new landmark. "I wish I'd thought of that. But if I were to really dig into it, I wish I wasn’t someone who wished they'd thought of that," he tweeted.
In a statement to the BBC, the football club also denied any involvement. "The sign is not, as far as we [are] all aware, anything to do with the football club," a Wrexham AFC spokesperson said.

Wrexham council leader Mark Pritchard told BBC Breakfast that the sign "has brought a smile to people's faces" and that locals are keen for the sign to remain in place for as long as possible.
OK but seriously though.....who did this?
UPDATE: Aug. 20, 2021, 11:55 a.m. BST We finally know who did this! And sorry but it's nowhere near as exciting as the theory that Ryan Reynolds did this.
A company called Vanarama – the sponsors of the National Football League in which Wrexham AFC plays – is the culprit. Not to be confused with pop group Bananarama, Vanarama is a van hire company. Mystery solved, I guess!
