Who would imagine that buying a mask would grant so many opportunities?

Surely, when Chewbacca mom, Candace Payne, bought a mask of the Star Wars wookie she didn't suspect that it would lead to her getting to meet J. J. Abrams, visiting Lucasfilm HQ and receiving a college scholarship for her and her children.

Then, finally, the one thing that was bound to happen, happened. Payne met the original Chewbacca actor, Peter Mayhew, yesterday.

"Met this Mom today, and she let me hold the mask," Mayhew wrote in his reddit post, which showed him signing the mask that started it all.

She seems subdued in her joy at meeting the man behind the crossbow, but we're sure she is delighted in her own way.
