A dog in Thailand who came back to the same spot by the roadside every day for a year to wait for her owners to find her, was tragically killed by a vehicle there.。

Locals who had begun feeding her after observing her behaviour, found her body by the roadside on Sunday, according to local papers. 。

The dog, which they named Loung, is estimated to be three-years-old, and is thought to have fallen off her owner's vehicle on the major highway connecting Bangkok and Cambodia. 。

She had become somewhat of a minor celebrity in the area, and had reportedly refused to go with other people who came to her and tried taking her away. 。

The mutt's story has gone viral on Facebook, where many have expressed admiration for her faithfulness, and their condolences at her passing.。
