Can't get enough of Wordle? Try Mashable's free version nowGood morning, word nerds! As is the style
Good morning, word nerds! As is the style of the time, there's a new Wordleto solve today. If you're feeling like May 3 may not be your luckiest day, we've got some subtle clues and Wordlestrategies to help you place those letters just right, and down the bottom of the post you'll find today's answer served straight up (though clearly signposted so you're not spoiled before you're ready).
Wordlewas created by former Reddit engineer Josh Wardle as a present for his partner (way to set the bar for romance, my, dude) and has become a daily habit for thousands of people worldwide. The game was bought by the New York Times earlier this year for a very pretty penny.
It's also inspired a wave of variations on the format, from clones that play with the number (like Dordle and Quordle) or theme (like Taylordle or Lewdle) of possible words, to guessing games that test your knowledge of music, maps, and Hollywood. Check out the video above for more.
X'd out more often recently and feel like the game is testing you? Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's not the case. But you can always switch Wordle to Hard Mode if you want even more of a challenge/.

Not the day you're after? Here's the Wordleanswer and clues for May 2.
Your trusty starter not doing it for you any more? Or you lucked out with the coveted 1/6 and want a new option? Our comprehensive guide to the best Wordle starting words.
The whole archive of past Wordles is available online — whether you're training up, or just waiting for a train.
There's usually only one Wordlesolution, but every now and then, two different correct answers will share the spotlight, depending on which version you're playing. As we've reported previously, this is due to changes the New York Timesmade after acquiring the game.
It's an adjective!
Everyone's favorite symmetrical letter: H! (Do not fact check me on this.)
We're going to do it! We're going to tell you today's word!
