It's hard to believe John McTiernan—arguably Hollywood's most celebrated director of pure action movies—has been away this long. Or that this is how he chose to start what we hope is a big comeback.

。It's only 90 seconds long but—as McTiernan aficionado Drew Taylor writes over at 。 Vulture—carries all the hallmarks of the action guru's style. And it could be the first green shoot of a bigtime return for McTiernan, who hasn't made a feature film since。
