The singer was probably getting a good night's rest to participate in the nation's favorite civic activity on Monday morning: jury duty.
SEE ALSO:Taylor Swift will leave a blank space by skipping the 2016 MTV VMAsIn 2015, Swift reportedly deferred her last call for jury duty due to her world tour, but it seems as if a year later, she was ready for a glamorous day of court in Nashville. While there, she also took time to pose for some selfies with fans and sign autographs.

A Nashville judge dismissed Swift as a potential juror in an aggravated rape and kidnapping case on Monday, Davidson County District Attorney General's Office spokesman Ken Whitehouse said.
"She asked to be left off out of concern for an upcoming trial in Denver where she was — she used the term 'groped' — by a fan at a meet-and-greet," Whitehouse said.
Swift told the judge she would be more than willing to serve on a jury in any other type of case, he said.
Swift also gave a group of kids from one fellow juror's carpool a shout-out and some good advice.
