Netflix's 。 Jessica Jones。is attempting to accomplish both. At Transform Hollywood on Friday, Melissa Rosenberg, the show's executive producer, announced that all Season 2 episodes will be directed by women.。

Women directed slightly under a third of the show's first season. A study from the Center for Women in Television and Film found that women made up approximately 12 percent of all television directors in 2015.。

Next season's Game of Thrones, by contrast, will not have any female directors.
