This won't help dispel any stereotypes concerning life in Australia.
South Australia police have shared security footage of a kangaroo bouncing through the deserted state capital of Adelaide. With the city's 1.3 million residents confined to their homes by the coronavirus pandemic, the intrepid marsupial took the rare opportunity to safely explore the human habitat — though there was at least close call with a car.
"Protective Security Officers tracked a suspect wearing a grey fur coat hopping through the heart of the #adelaide CBD this morning," the South Australia Police tweeted on Sunday. "He was last seen on foot heading into the West Parklands."

This lone kangaroo isn't the only animal who has boldly ventured into an urban environment in recent weeks. Last month a herd of goats took over the town of Llandudno, Wales, eating hedges and blatantly ignoring social distancing rules. However Llandudno is much smaller than Adelaide, with a population of around 20,000.
The police made no mention of the charges against the kangaroo, though we advise anyone who comes across the suspect not to approach. It may look cute, but wild kangaroos are typically armed and dangerous. They are Australian, after all.
