They say you can't polish a turd, but you sure can paint a car crash.
A vehicular bungle, wherein a Toyota Camry met its crumpled end at the trunk of a tree on a pedestrian island, has been given a golden new lease on life by an as-yet-unidentified street artist.
The vehicle crashed into a North Fitzroy tree in Melbourne, Australia on Oct. 16 and was promptly abandoned with the keys still in the ignition. That's when the mysterious artist literally struck gold, creating a work described by many online as "peak Melbourne."
Just look at it shine. What does it all mean?
So @VictoriaPolice if a stolen car is left with no attempt to clear for a week the Fitzroy North artists will do what they do. #goldfinger pic.twitter.com/YNVXl94q2D
