Lenovo had it right from the start -- and Samsung wants a piece of the action.
For years now, Lenovo's Yoga 2-in-1 laptops have attracted customers with screens that can flipped all the way back to become a tablet (and in between for tent and stand modes).
Samsung's latest Windows 10 laptops, the Notebook 7 Spin series, has a similar hinge that converts it into a tablet.

Under the hood is Intel's Core i5 or i7 processor, 8GB of RAM (13-inch) or 12GB or 16GB of RAM (15-inch), and 1TB of hard drive storage. You can also configure the 15-inch model with 128GB of solid-state drive storage.
There's a number pad on the 15"As for graphics cards, the 13-inch comes with the Intel HD Graphics 520 and the 15-inch with the NVIDIA GeForce 940MX.
The 15-inch laptop also comes with a number pad, since it's more spacious.
The new laptops also aren't short on ports. There's an HDMI, one USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, one USB Type-C and a microSD card slot on the 13-inch. On the 15-inch you get all of those ports, and a SDXC memory card slot instead of the microSD card.
Samsung didn't provide exact hours for battery life, but did mention how quickly the tablets can be charged: about 1 hour and 40 minutes for the 13-inch model and 1 hour and 30 minutes for the 15-inch model.
The Notebook 7 Spin will be available on June 26 at Best Buy stores, Bestbuy.com and Samsung's online store starting at $799.99 for the 13-inch and $999.99 for the 15-inch.
