Readers rejoice! There are books popping up all over public transport system, and not because someone keeps forgetting them.
The Australian organisation Books On The Railhave established a campaign asking people to leave books on trains, trams and buses in an effort to get people sharing their most loved books.

Best of all, there's no twist! The organisation just want people to enjoy a new book because, as they say, "a good read cheers us all up!"
Any book you find on your seat with theBooks on the Railsticker embellishing it's cover is fair game and yours to pour over to your heart's content.
Once a book is found, it's new owner is encouraged to take to social media and post it with the hashtag #BooksOnTheRailso the public can see the reach of their shared novels.
Picked this up on the train today. At first I though the person must have accidentally left it on the seat, but then I saw the sticker on the cover. I was blown away by this amazing idea. They want to encourage us to put down the iPhone and pick up a novel while traveling on public transport. Here's how it works: take the book home, read it, return to a train, bus or tram for someone else to enjoy. Big thanks to Mich and Ali for this wonderful establishment. @booksontherail #booksontherail #happyreading #reading #melbourne
The company have put a call out for authors and publishers to also share their works -- a pretty great idea for writers who are struggling with the first step -- getting people to read their work!
We love @booksontherail – an awesome new initiative spreading the joy of reading across Melbourne's public transport network. Keep an eye out for BOTR books with #mwf16 bookmarks in them floating around trams and trains in the coming weeks! #booksontherail 💖📚👌🏼
Once you've finished with the book, you simply leave it on the next train, tram or bus you catch. Now go forth and spread the literary love.
