When you don't see a future with a Tinder match, trolling is a delightful alternative to letting an interaction go to waste. There are, after all, plenty of fish in the sea.
A East Carolina University freshman named Carly Karnatz decided to pull the ultimate movie themed prank on a guy she was talking to on Tinder. Using the very familiar plot line of the children's movie Finding Nemo, Karnatz was able to trick the guy, whose name is Matthew, into believing that her younger brother was kidnapped and currently resided in a tank.

She then told Matthew that her father tried to swim after her brother but bumped into some sharks instead.
Karnatz explained that her brother was being held in a tank with other children by a man named "Phillip Sherman".
The messages ended with Karnatz thanking a cop named "Nigel" for helping the family and that she was worried for "Reese's" safety since his captor was planning to give him away to a woman who has "killed a child before."
The tweet has 400 likes and counting with commenters loving the joke and tweeting it to Ellen DeGeneres so it could be featured on her show.

Karnatz told Mashablethat she knew that she wanted to prank someone, so she pulled up different movie scripts and went through her Tinder messages to pick a boy to prank.
"the boy I picked wouldn't stop messaging me because I hadn't messaged him back so as payback for him being annoying I decided to prank him," she said. Sounds fair to us.
After the screenshots on were posted to Twitter, Karnatz still went along with the joke but, after she told Matthew that the kidnappers were keeping her brother at the address 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney, Australia, he realized he was being pranked.
Apparently fish aren't just friends, they're awesome bait.
